Lady Lion Win 2004 State Track Championship--Two Years in a Row!
No one even came close. Cornerstone Lady Lions racked up more than 600 team points, with the second place 1A team having less than 100. Coach Sheldonia Simmers led her team to their 2nd state championship in a row at Angelo Stadium. Cornerstone swept almost all the jumping event, and they secured the top two or three spots in most of the track events.
Reece McCrea
received his first medal of the season for Junior High Boys Cross
Country. He was 15th in a field of nearly 100 running the
2-mile course. This is the first award the men's cross country
team has secured this season.
